BOOK SESSION

Lego Magic

Hello and welcome to my blog! My oldest daughter and I recently were in Barnes and Noble and stumbled on this book, LEGO in Focus, http://bit.ly/3TNEfTa . She was excited and when I said I was grabbing it for the studio she insisted we bring it home instead. I may need another for the studio lol!  She was inspired. The next day we pulled out one of my favorite sets, Scooby! We took our favorites Scooby, Shaggy, and what Scooby scene would be complete without a swamp monster, outside and set them up in a variety of ways. Our favorite being the partially thawed planter that created the perfect swamp scene. It was magical to spend some time with her and encourage her inspiration! As we head into these winter months and we start slowing down more it is the perfect time to foster the imagination and spend some time being inspired! If you try this please show us! It’s easy to do with the phone as well and play around with different perspectives!

Here’s a few of our favorites as well as a behind the scenes. We played around with a forest scene as well as creating some fog. But seriously I encourage you try this indoor or out! So fun!

IMPRESSIONS FROM MARCH & APRIL 2021 : A PERSONAL PROJECT | ANCHORAGE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER

2021 is just flying by! We enjoyed an amazing ski and snowboarding season and just as spring was starting to emerge we went on a few hiking adventures! In March I had a session at the Matanuska Glacier and it was AMAZING! I had so much fun photographing a family exploring the colors and features! It is definitely on my must do for next winter again! Snow was stubborn and persistent so we went to the Nature Center and saw the swans had migrated in! Such a spectacular sight amongst all the snow! We also went to one of our favorite waterfalls and it was still frozen but some water was starting to open up. The girls absolutely loved being close to the waterfall. Since the water was still super clear I was able to practice my underwater shots! We kicked off April with our first camping trip and though things were still pretty dead they were beautiful <3 We are jumping right into camping season and I look forward to a summer full of adventures!

Impressions’ is a creative project by an eclectic group of female photographers from around the globe. Every other month, we share a selection of images that tell the story of what inspired us in the previous weeks. We are free to explore the meaning of ‘impressions’, and it is likely to change month to month.

Head on over to see what adventures Natalie has been on!

Impressions from November and December 2020 : a personal project

Hello and wooooo for saying goodbye to 2020 and kicking off 2021! This year was a whirlwind for my business as we kept adapting to new Covid mandates and restrictions. What I am grateful for is the time that I have been able to spend with my girls! I am grateful for the restart of these blog posts! I have missed them!

I photographed some amazing knit items from my friend Aimee at JACK of all crochets. So I loved getting the girls out and playing during the process. Plus the girls got new coats so it was an easy sell for them 😉

Hello and yay for kicking off another awesome year! Over the years I have noticed that I am photographing my girls less and less. Especially in the studio when I create sets for my clients. This year I am changing  that.
