BOOK SESSION

Favero Lovelies | ‘Anchorage family and child photographer’

When I was contacted by this gorgeous momma to have their session at Hatcher’s Pass I literally jumped with excitement! It was my first session back after the birth of my little one and I had been itching to have a session up there! The weather was gorgeous and we had just gotten a little bit of termination dust the night before.  The little bit of snow added just enough to the already gorgeous scenery!  These ladies were such a blast to hang out with! Our session sent us on little hikes around the mine and they were such troopers! They are avid hikers so this outdoor session was great for the girls to explore.  I love how this session turned out and I’m pretty sure mom did too since she said it was impossible to choose her images 😀

Team Up Thursday- Unexpected

I’m going solo this week, however we will be picking up again next week with the topic, Loud. 🙂

For this week I photographed an unexpected Crocus that pleasantly popped up in the garden despite a not so pleasant week for weather!  I will take any sign of spring we get!

“Some of nature’s most exquisite handiwork is on a miniature
scale, as anyone knows who has applied a magnifying glass
to  a snowflake.”

When winter comes, many birds fly south. Well, with the exception of the weird flock of ducks I have seen and the normal wintering birds.  In Eagle River we are fortunate enough to see the eagles hang around all winter long.  Sometimes, you will find between 50 and 100 eagles wintering.  These North American Bald Eagles are commonly seen gathering around mid day near the VFW parking lot.  They awaiting the “Eagle Lady” who comes out and feeds them during the winter.  We are very lucky to live in an area with such abundant wildlife, even in the winter.
