Spring Sessions -Anchorage Child Photographer

This year I have teamed up with Sweet Adeline’s to offer indoor spring and Easter themed sessions.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out her store yet, you should! She offers amazing Eco-friendly toys and crafts. There are also an assortment of art and music classes available for a wide range of ages.  Z LOVES her art classes.  These mini-sessions are a great way to come check out the store and also get some updated pictures of your little ones in their adorable spring and Easter outfits.  Details for the sessions are below. Pictures will be available for pickup the following week at Sweet Adeline’s so you are guaranteed to have them by Easter.  There are a limited number of sessions available and they must be booked in advance! So contact me to reserve your spot!

Birthdays and Celebrations -Eagle River Child Photographer

I really can’t believe how much time flies. I know, it is very cliche. However, still very true.  I am putting together all the details of the Leslie Meadow one year contest and I can’t believe that it’s already been one year! It’s been such an exciting year and I am truly grateful to all of my wonderful clients.  I will be announcing the contest details Monday and the contest will start on April 1st.  While going through images for my contest I came across little Z’s pictures from her one year session. In less than two weeks she will be two, and I can’t believe it! She has grown so much this year and looking at these pictures fills me with such happy memories of when she was just one year younger.

Yummy Light -eagle river child photographer-

My daughter and I were playing in front of the living room window and she said “take picture mommy”.  Um, SURE!! So I tell her to stay there and I run and get my camera. I was amazed that she actually sat there and patiently waited! While I was happily snapping away; taking advantage of this great light, she grabbed my lens cover. Hmmmmm, do we have a future Canon user on our hands?

Spring Fever -Eagle River AK Child Photographer-

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love, love, love the snow. Especially this time of year when it’s sunny out and temperatures are warming. This weekend marks the beginning of a yearly Alaskan tradition known as the Fur Rondy festival.  People from all over the state come to Alaska to celebrate. It started 76 years ago as a celebration for trappers and miners to come together and celebrate their success.  It has since grown and is still widely anticipated. So my family and I will get out and participate in the winter festivities to include watching the sled dog races.  I call this post spring fever because while I will be bundled up walking on icy and snow filled streets, I know my dear friends in the lower 48 are celebrating spring. I have seen a flood of images and blog posts this week of yummy light and luscious  greenery. Which does make me a tad bit jealous.  So I pulled some old images from last year decided to post them. So cheers to spring, however many weeks or months you may still be away 🙂

Contest Winner -Anchorage Family Photographer-

During the holidays I had a contest with two amazing art galleries downtown, Katie Sevigny Studio and her other gallery the Fiddlehead.  The winning family snuck their photo’s in just in time for Christmas Cards. These two sisters were such absolute dolls and braved the cold and snow for mom and dad. They were adorable despite being so cold!
