Spring Fever -Eagle River AK Child Photographer-

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love, love, love the snow. Especially this time of year when it’s sunny out and temperatures are warming. This weekend marks the beginning of a yearly Alaskan tradition known as the Fur Rondy festival.  People from all over the state come to Alaska to celebrate. It started 76 years ago as a celebration for trappers and miners to come together and celebrate their success.  It has since grown and is still widely anticipated. So my family and I will get out and participate in the winter festivities to include watching the sled dog races.  I call this post spring fever because while I will be bundled up walking on icy and snow filled streets, I know my dear friends in the lower 48 are celebrating spring. I have seen a flood of images and blog posts this week of yummy light and luscious  greenery. Which does make me a tad bit jealous.  So I pulled some old images from last year decided to post them. So cheers to spring, however many weeks or months you may still be away 🙂

Urban Style

I’ve been itching to get out and try some new locations I was scoping out.  Plus, I wanted to update some of my marketing materials. I found two gorgeous ladies willing to let me parade them around downtown Anchorage. The shoot was a blast and I love what we came up with! I can’t wait to try these locations in the summer too!

Princess Mia -Wasilla Newborn Photographer-

A few weeks back I photographed this glowing mom to be.  She was so ready for her sweet little princess to arrive. This little girl definitely had a mind of her own. She didn’t want to sleep and miss out on anything and she squirmed quite a bit. We were still able to have an amazing session besides Mia’s best efforts 🙂 She really couldn’t have been any cuter!

Mommy to Be -Wasilla Maternity Photographer-

I have know Laura for a few years and was very excited to do her maternity session. We had to keep postponing it because she didn’t feel like she had much of a baby *bump*.  She was right! I had to ask the poor girl to stick it out for some of the shots! Can you believe that she delivered her sweet baby girl only a few weeks after this shoot?!
