Goodbye Alaska – Fort Richardson Family Photographer

One of the hardest things about being a military family {outside of deployments of course} is saying moving.  The Pratt Family is moving on and had to say goodbye to Alaska. I wish them the best on their journey and at their new duty station. She wanted a storyboard with images from the session and a custom frame. What a great way to preserve your Alaskan memories! Here are a few images from the session and I just love how the framed storyboard turned out!

Girly Goodness

I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with many talented ladies here in Anchorage. We teamed up with Sweet Adeline’s, Nina’s Beanies and Bows, and Snapdragon Stitches for an amazing product shoot.  These ladies are truly talented and it was so much fun being able to work with them.  I love being able to support the local community and work with such talented women.  Sweet Adeline’s is a fantastic store for eco friendly toys as well as a variety of art and music classes.  She also carries Nina’s Beanies and Bows as well as Snapdragon Stitches so you can see them in person. The photograph’s from this shoot will be hanging in her store soon so please stop by and say Hi to Jessica and see all the great products she carries.  But, I will warn you, neither you nor your kids will want to leave once you are there. There is so much to play with and explore!

Elliott- Eagle River baby photographer

Oh my poor poor neglected blog! I have all these amazing sessions to post and I have not been keeping up with them. Well, what better way to start a major blogging update than with an adorable 3 month old!

This little sweetie was a perfect angel for us. It was an absolute pleasure being able to photograph her. This session was special for many reasons. Grandma was here so we were able to capture three generations in one shoot. Which I LOVE! Not everyone gets the opportunity to do so, or takes advantage of it while they can. I’m so happy that these ladies did! Also, daddy is currently deployed and hasn’t seen the loves of his life since shortly after little E was born. This was a fantastic way to to treat dad to some special photo’s while he is sacrificing so much for those he loves. I would like to say thank you to E’s mom for letting me capture such an important time in this family’s life and thank you to E’s dad for his service.

Team Up Thursday! -Sweet

So this week I was going to go in a completely different direction. I was thinking yummy cupcakes and other fabulous baked items.  But, it didn’t happen that way and we were sitting around the fire pit and I thought roasted marshmallows are the perfect sweet treat for the long summer days 🙂 I know there is much debate over the best way to roast a marshmallow. I like mine blackened, on fire 😉

Jen from  Z’s the Day is my partner for this fun project and her image is on the bottom. Yummy juicy berries!!!

Fun New Frames!

I love fun and funky designs and I LOVE color. So when I saw these frames I knew I not only needed them for myself, but I wanted to offer them to my clients too! They come in a wide range of sizes, styles and colors.  You can also get them double stacked.  There are so many options to choose from! The frames come backed and ready to hang with all the mounting hardware. I have had a lot of fun decorating with these and I know you will too!

I am also offering a very exciting ipad frame that is designed just for an ipad. How cool is that!?  I use mine in the kitchen on an easel when I’m cooking or listening to music, it also has a great slideshow for photo’s.  I am only offering them to my clients currently.  So anyone that books in May or June I will have the opportunity to purchase the ipad frame at a special limited price 🙂

Team up Thursday- Loud

My house is very loud so it was hard to narrow down this topic. I have three dogs, a deaf husband (he won’t admit it), and a rambunctious two year old.  Never a dull moment. Her favorite toys are her trucks and trains. Notice the princess sweatshirt and the Matilda Jane pants, but don’t be fooled. She dresses girly but is a tomboy at heart; which I love!  Her trucks are pretty loud and she likes to make the lights and sirens/sounds go. She especially loves to play on the kitchen floor while I’m cooking.

My friend Jen’s image from Z’s the Day Photography and design is the image on the bottom. Her image is purely AWESOME! It cracks me up and brings a huge smile to my face. So Happy Thursday and join us next week for another fun Team up Thursday 🙂
