Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love, love, love the snow. Especially this time of year when it’s sunny out and temperatures are warming. This weekend marks the beginning of a yearly Alaskan tradition known as the Fur Rondy festival.  People from all over the state come to Alaska to celebrate. It started 76 years ago as a celebration for trappers and miners to come together and celebrate their success.  It has since grown and is still widely anticipated. So my family and I will get out and participate in the winter festivities to include watching the sled dog races.  I call this post spring fever because while I will be bundled up walking on icy and snow filled streets, I know my dear friends in the lower 48 are celebrating spring. I have seen a flood of images and blog posts this week of yummy light and luscious  greenery. Which does make me a tad bit jealous.  So I pulled some old images from last year decided to post them. So cheers to spring, however many weeks or months you may still be away 🙂
